We are currently looking to appoint an Exhausts Laser Operator who will be responsible for setting and operating a machine following strict guidelines covering safety, quality and work instructions, conducting regular maintenance checks on machines and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Furthermore, it is essential to observe an active communication line with co-workers, coordinating for a structured and smooth workflow.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• To set laser cutting fixtures to machine datum’s.
• To perform laser cutting operations of the components manufactured.
• To check laser cut components to drawing specifications and ICY fixtures.
• To understand machine parameters and check against data cards.
• Maintain standard of all fixtures associated with Laser process.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities.
• Ensure products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer as well as internal standards and specifications (NADCAP and AS9100 standards).
• Keep equipment operational by completing autonomous maintenance and calibration requirements.
• Know and understand company and department policies and safety procedures.
• Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

Education & Experience:

• NVQ/qualification in Engineering discipline is desirable.
• Proven track record in a Laser operating position – minimum 3 years, preferably within Aerospace sector is essential.
• Trumpf machine experience is desirable.
• Basic understanding of lean principles (5S) is desirable.
• Experience of working to production targets is essential.
