We are currently recruiting for an experienced and skilled Sheet Metal Worker in the fabrication and assembly of components through various techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering and manufacturing ideally within aerospace working with exotic materials.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operations - Bending, cutting, drilling, fabrication, forming, and general sheet metal manipulation
• Quality - Meet internal and external quality standards (NADCAP and AS9100) and adhere to specifications, ensuring structural integrity and quality control
• Quality - Maintain documented records/job cards of work executed and completed for activities approved to perform; including issues encountered and raising of nonconformances
• Safety - Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the use of PPE and maintaining a hazard-free workspace
• Delivery - Work to Standard Operations Procedures (SOP’s) and follow a set standard work routine to achieve the required output
• Delivery - Coordinate and collaborate with other team members or departments to ensure efficient workflow and meet project deadlines
• Maintenance - Regularly maintain and clean equipment (machines and tools) to ensure their optimal functionality and prevent malfunctions

Education & Experience:

• Apprenticeship trained, qualifications in this discipline or significant industry experience - Essential
• A demonstrated successful practical track record in this discipline - Essential
• Reading and following written instruction e.g., SOPs, technique sheets, drawings, and specifications - Essential
• Proficiency in understanding and interpreting technical drawings - Essential
• Experience meeting and working towards production targets - Desirable
• Basic understanding of lean principles (5S) - Desirable
• Experience in aerospace - Desirable
• High precision and accuracy to tight tolerances - Desirable
• String attention to detail - Essential
